Thai Dragon, AKA Thai Hot

$6.00 USD

Thai Dragon peppers are native to Central and northern South America and were brought to Asia by Portuguese traders in the 1600s. The small, upright fruit grows in heavy clusters and prized for their explosive heat with a fruity, lightly sweet, herbaceous flavor. Green chiles taste brighter, grassier, and more herbal, while red ripe chiles become deeper, fruitier, slightly citrusy, and hotter. Widely used in Thai cuisine, they are excellent in stir-fries, curries, sauces, and spicy condiments. Also known as Thai Hot, though that name is used for several regional peppers, which can make identification difficult. Heirloom.

  • Heat: Hot (50,000 - 100,000 SHU)
  • Height: 18 - 36in
  • Harvest: 80 - 90 days from transplant
  • Pack includes 25 seeds

Did you know? Humidity can reduce the viability of pepper seeds over time, causing  seeds to stagnate. That’s why every seed pack includes a silica gel packet to help keep the seeds dry and fresh. To save seeds for next year, place the seed packet and silica gel packet together in a quart-size freezer bag, seal it, and store it in the refrigerator. Do not freeze.
