Quadrata d’ Asti Rosso Bell
Sweet
Quadrata d’ Asti Rosso Bell peppers are grown in Italy’s Asti region. Plants produce high yields of large, blocky, four-lobed fruit about 4 inches wide and 6 inches long, with crisp, very thick flesh. The fruit starts green and matures to candy-apple red when fully ripe. Its flavor is deeply sweet with a mellow, clean finish. Excellent fresh, this variety becomes even sweeter when stuffed, grilled, or roasted. Heirloom.
Bell peppers are native to Central and Northern South America. After being brought to Spain in the 1490s, they spread throughout Europe and Asia, then later reached North America with early European settlers. Today, bell peppers are among the world’s best-known peppers, with dozens of varieties developed for gourmet cooking and everyday culinary use.

Did you know? Humidity can reduce the viability of pepper seeds over time, causing seeds to stagnate. That’s why every seed pack includes a silica gel packet to help keep the seeds dry and fresh. To save seeds for next year, place the seed packet and silica gel packet together in a quart-size freezer bag, seal it, and store it in the refrigerator. Do not freeze.
