Long Slim Cayenne
Hot
Long Slim Cayenne plants are prolific producers of thin-walled, wrinkled peppers 4 to 6 inches long. Named for the Cayenne River in French Guiana, this heirloom variety has been cultivated in the region for over 7,000 thousands years. The fruit delivers sharp, biting heat with subtle fruity and lightly smoky notes. Use them fresh in sauces, salsa, and marinades, or dried and ground for spice to use in soups, stews, and rubs. Cayenne is one of the most widely used peppers for hot sauces, including Frank’s RedHot and Crystal Hot Sauce. Heirloom.

Did you know? Humidity can reduce the viability of pepper seeds over time, causing seeds to stagnate. That’s why every seed pack includes a silica gel packet to help keep the seeds dry and fresh. To save seeds for next year, place the seed packet and silica gel packet together in a quart-size freezer bag, seal it, and store it in the refrigerator. Do not freeze.
