Medium Heat

Hot Cherry peppers are native to the tropical highlands of Central and northern South America and date back to the 1500s. Productive plants bear cherry-shaped fruit about 1.5 inches wide that ripens from green to bright red. The thick, juicy flesh has bright fruity sweetness, slight tartness, and a tangy, moderate kick. Use them sautéed for extra heat, pickled for sandwiches, or skewered for barbecue. Plants produce throughout the season. Heirloom.

Heat level: 3,000 - 5,000 SHU

Plant height: 18 - 24 inches

Harvest: 80 - 85 days from transplant

25 seeds

Did you know? Humidity can reduce the viability of pepper seeds over time, causing  seeds to stagnate. That’s why every seed pack includes a silica gel packet to help keep the seeds dry and fresh. To save seeds for next year, place the seed packet and silica gel packet together in a quart-size freezer bag, seal it, and store it in the refrigerator. Do not freeze.
