Alma Paprika
Mild Heat
Alma Paprika peppers have been cultivated in Hungary since the 1600s. The thick, crisp, juicy, apple-shaped fruit ripens from creamy ivory to pumpkin orange, then glossy red. Their flavor is sweet, robust, and mildly spicy, become deeper and sweeter as it matures. "Alma" means "apple" in Hungarian, and this heirloom is a staple in Hungarian cuisine. Enjoy fresh ripe fruit, stuffed, pickled, or dried and ground into paprika for sauces, soups, and stews. Heirloom.

Did you know? Humidity can reduce the viability of pepper seeds over time, causing seeds to stagnate. That’s why every seed pack includes a silica gel packet to help keep the seeds dry and fresh. To save seeds for next year, place the seed packet and silica gel packet together in a quart-size freezer bag, seal it, and store it in the refrigerator. Do not freeze.
