Sweet Pickle is a compact ornamental pepper plant that produces small, upright, 2-inch fruit with blunt tips reminiscent of old-fashioned Christmas lights. The peppers grow in clusters and ripen from purple to yellow, then orange and red, often displaying all colors at once. They are very sweet, with a mellow, fruity, sugary flavor and little to no heat. Ideal for pickling, they stay exceptionally crisp and firm in the jar, while brine enhances their sweetness with a bright, herbaceous tang. Use them for snacking, salads, sandwiches, subs, charcuterie boards, pizza, or pasta dishes. Fruit left on the plant too long may become bitter. Although classified as sweet, fruit can produce slight heat. Heirloom.

  • Heat: Sweet (0 - 100 SHU)
  • Height: 12 - 18in
  • Harvest: 70 - 80 days from transplant
  • Pack includes 25 seeds

Did you know? Humidity can reduce the viability of pepper seeds over time, causing  seeds to stagnate. That’s why every seed pack includes a silica gel packet to help keep the seeds dry and fresh. To save seeds for next year, place the seed packet and silica gel packet together in a quart-size freezer bag, seal it, and store it in the refrigerator. Do not freeze.
