Small Red Chili peppers are native to tropical Central and northern South America, where they still grow wild. Similar to Pequin peppers but smaller, the fruit delivers sharp, penetrating heat with bright, fruity, lightly sweet flavor. Productive plants can develop high capsaicin levels, making this pepper useful in curries, stir-fries, salsas, marinades, infused oils, and other spicy dishes. Widely used in traditional Thai cuisine, the fruit is usually eaten fresh; when dried, their natural sugars and oils concentrate, turning the fresh grassy flavor into a deeper, more complex flavor profile that is excellent ground for spice. Heirloom.

  • Height: 24 - 36in
  • Harvest: 80 - 90 days from transplant

Did you know? Humidity can reduce the viability of pepper seeds over time, causing  seeds to stagnate. That’s why every seed pack includes a silica gel packet to help keep the seeds dry and fresh. To save seeds for next year, place the seed packet and silica gel packet together in a quart-size freezer bag, seal it, and store it in the refrigerator. Do not freeze.
