Poblano Grande, AKA Ancho Grande

Poblano Grande plants produce fruit larger than standard poblano types, reaching up to 6 inches long. The fruit’s flavor is rich, earthy, and peppery, with subtle sweetness, light smokiness, and gentle warming heat. Their size and flavor make them excellent for chiles rellenos and essential for preparing chiles en nogada, the patriotic Mexican dish often served around Mexican Independence Day. They are also delicious, roasted or stuffed. Heirloom.
