Firecracker
Hot
Firecracker peppers are native to Mexico and produce heavy yields of upright, 1-inch conical fruit. The peppers start creamy white, then turn green, purple, orange, and deep red, often showing several colors at once for ornamental appeal. The fruit delivers sharp upfront heat followed by sweet, fruity, slightly citrusy flavor. Use them for hot sauces, marinades, or drying and grinding for spice. They are an excellent cooking pepper, and common in Spanish, Asian, and African cuisines. Heirloom.

Did you know? Humidity can reduce the viability of pepper seeds over time, causing seeds to stagnate. That’s why every seed pack includes a silica gel packet to help keep the seeds dry and fresh. To save seeds for next year, place the seed packet and silica gel packet together in a quart-size freezer bag, seal it, and store it in the refrigerator. Do not freeze.
