The elongated fruit grows 5 to 7 inches long and has a crisp, juicy texture. Their flavor combines the sweet, fruity base of a bell pepper with the subtle citrus notes, light smokiness, and cayenne-like heat. The fruit closely resembles a Jimmy Nardello pepper, so label plants carefully if growing both. Heat can range from Jalapeño-like warmth to Tabasco-level intensity. Use the fruit in soups, stews, chili, stir-fries, or dried and ground for spice that pairs well with pork, beef, poultry, and seafood. One of the earliest ripening hot peppers you can grow.
